Valerie Parr Hill is QVC’s resident decor and hospitality specialist.  From her very first show, Decorating with Wreaths in 1993, to her current House to Home shows, she has become a favorite guest among QVC viewers.

Born in Rochester, Minnesota, when her father was in training at the Mayo Clinic, and raised in Lexington, Kentucky she considers the beautiful Bluegrass of Kentucky to be home.

She earned a BA from Asbury University in Wilmore, KY and a MA in Communications from Wheaton College, where she met her husband, Will.  She went on to study not-for-profit marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.  In the eighties, Valerie served in the public service sector fund-raising for higher education, wildlife protection and fine arts institutions.

In 1991, following her personal passion for home decor and hospitality, she began designing decorative accessories. A few years later, she published a how-to decorating book, Decorating for the Holidays.

For more than thirty years, Valerie has been an avid designer of home and holiday accents, specializing in items that help her customers create warm and welcome homes. 

Valerie loves to garden, needlepoint, read and play the piano.  She and her husband, Will, live in New Jersey and have two grown sons.
