Hi Valerie, love tacos too! Where did you get your taco tray??🤗

One of my favorites. Just wish that I knew a good place to buy them, just like what you have shown.

Taco night is my hubbies favorite. I have to fill them for us both . He says I make them perfect . lol.

One of my favorite things about the fall, is watching the leaves change from green to the beautiful colors of the season. What do you love about autumn?

I love the beautiful colors of the season, and also the cooler weather. All the beautiful pumpkins, apple orchards, and the flowers that are still blooming, like my delphiniums.🎃🍁🌻

Cool misty mornings. They set the mood for the entire day.

There are so many beautiful things about this season. It’s Harvest time and farm markets are filled with the bounty of hard working farmers. The colors of fall are brilliant and vibrant. The apple orchards are laden with beautiful red and green apples 🍎🍏. I’m so fortunate to live in a farming community in the Shenandoah Valley.

National Homemade Cookie Day is the perfect day to share my boys favorite cookie recipe with my Val Pals! Their Aunt Mary makes these Snickerdoodles for them each year on their birthdays. I hope your family enjoys them as much as we do!

Snickerdoodles

½ cup butter, softened
½ cup shortening
1½ cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cream together butter and shortening. Add 1½ cup white sugar, beat till light and fluffy, add 2 eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.

Shape the dough into balls using one spoonful for each ball. Mix the 3 tablespoons of white sugar and the cinnamon. Roll the balls of dough in the mixture. Flatten the balls into ½-inch thick discs, spaced evenly on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set but not too hard. Remove immediately from baking sheets. Cool on racks.

Love Snickerdoodles! I've already made 5 batches of cookie dough for the holidays, in my deep freeze waiting. Makes baking so much easier (and more enjoyable) during that busy season.

These look delicious! I can’t wait to make them! Thank you so much for always sharing your personal recipes❤️
